“Brothers” (ex-“Brothers in Plugs”)
is an alternative rock band from Athens, Greece, composed of four actual brothers.
Bill Aronidis (b. December 10, 1986 / lead vocals, guitars), Damian Aronidis (b. April 8, 1989 / backing vocals, piano, keyboards),
Kosmas Aronidis (b. February 2, 1984 / bass, backing vocals) and Elias Aronidis (b. October 26, 1990 / drums, backing vocals) have been experimenting with music and the arts as companions since their early childhood.
In 2007, the four young brothers formed a rock band under the name “Brothers in Plugs”.
The band’s early music was a blend of the 70s pop/rock sound, roots rock and textural guitars of the 80s, while gradually expanding into a more contemporary alternative/indie rock sound. Brothers in Plugs quickly became well known in the Greek underground circles for their effortless coexistence on stage, their notably consistent sound, and their high level musicianship as live performers. Since their introduction, the band has appeared live at the majority of the most important gig spaces all over Athens and Greece in general. They have also participated in some of the largest music festivals.
Apart from their common interest in music, the Aronidis brothers, all study in the School of Αrchitecture at National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Their involvement with architecture, whilst concurrently pursuing a professional musical career, turned out to be a great influence in their music.
In 2011, Brothers in Plugs were announced winners of the “Bon Jovi Group Contest”, subsequently opening the Bon Jovi Concert in Athens (O.A.K.A Stadium) on July 20th, 2011 and receiving critical acclaim for their performance.
The contest was hosted by Bon Jovi’s Management and Jumping Fish (the largest indie music platform in Greece). The band entered the contest submitting the (unpublished at the time) song “Can’t Find A Shelter”. The process lasted 5 months and included online audience voting and selection from a jury formed by Jumping Fish. This was followed by a live performance competition while the final decision between 5 finalists was made by Bon Jovi and their management team.
In that period, the band had recieved interest from greek music labels and eventually signed with The Sound Of Everything Records.
A week before their performance at the Bon Jovi concert, Brothers in Plugs released their debut album “The Day Just Begun” (distributed by Universal Greece Ltd & TSOE Ltd) with 11 original tracks, including the single “Can’t Find A Shelter”. The album gained regular radio airplay in Greece, while the band became popular, appearing on numerous television and radio shows and giving interviews to the press.
In 2013, the band started a collaboration with the Los Angeles based film score composer, Alexis Grapsas, working with him on the production of their upcoming album. At this time, the band was renamed into “Brothers” while recorded an EP album under the title
“Somewhere Along The Line”, composing “digital” guitar licks, distorted guitar chords, fuzzy synths, big-sounding drums and dramatic vocals into a cinematic atmosphere.

BON JOVI OPENING ACT
In 2011, Brothers (as "Brothers in Plugs") were announced winners of the “Bon Jovi Group Contest”, subsequently opening the Bon Jovi Concert in Athens (O.A.K.A Stadium) on July 20th, 2011 and receiving critical acclaim for their performance.
"…Many of them watched the opening act of Brothers in Plugs as well, winners of the Jumping Fish contest. With extremely high expectations, the four brothers astonished the audience with their short but powerful and full of self-confidence appearance, without looking scared with the event's size and with the fresh rock demos of their debut album "The Day Just Begun", that has just been released, contributing their part in the warm-up of a great night."

"Wednesday 20th of July 2011, hour 18.40, I am in gate 28 watching Brothers in Plugs, the group that won the Jumping Fish contest!
I admit that I was expecting them to be a little more nervous, but they were very comfortable on stage and with their alternative rock,
they roused the early gathered audience of O.A.K.A."

"...To be honest, as I have already watched them once before and have heard the best for them, my expectations were quite high.
The moment I heard the first note, all my doubts concerning the sound quality were gone. The sound coming out the speakers was exceptional, something that was of course owed to the band's playing as well. The alternative rock routes , in which the band's footage is stepping, seemed to be walked solidly, as the group in no ways let any mark of - excused - nervousness. The final taste they left was pretty positive, especially if you consider that it is about a greek group doing exceptional work (for quite a time), with quality standards we meet in the international music industry.."
